Asheville Aces go 6-0 in Atlanta
The Professional Inline Hockey Association’s lone cross-division festival of the 2025-26 season brought together both the established Piedmont Division and the brand-new Sunshine Division for the first time. Saturday’s schedule featured twenty fast-paced matchups as PIHA expanded its footprint into Georgia for the inaugural Sunshine weekend.
Champion Asheville Aces (6-0-0)
The Aces were the class of the event, outscoring opponents 36-10 and finishing as the only undefeated team. Balanced scoring and airtight goaltending set an early benchmark for the entire league.

The Aces’ potent top line clicked early—Logan Garst netted a pair and Dustin Disbro added two helpers as Asheville’s offense set the tone for the weekend.

Asheville stayed perfect behind a dominant Logan Garst hat trick and defensive control from Tyler Gilbert. Jake Reilly scored the lone Pegasus marker.

Asheville’s balanced scoring continued; Tyler Gilbert and Austin Gomez anchored a disciplined defensive performance.

The Aces capped a perfect opening day, dominating transition play as Dustin Disbro and Logan Garst continued their scoring tear.

In a clash between Saturday’s top teams, Asheville rallied from an early deficit with three unanswered goals in the second half. Matt Hogue’s late tally stood as the game-winner as the Aces handed Unify its lone defeat of the weekend.
10:00 AM – Champion Asheville Aces 7, Labeda Naples Kaos 0
The Aces capped their weekend with a statement shutout, dominating from start to finish. Dan Dean recorded a hat trick, and Brandon Shirley posted a perfect outing in net to secure Asheville’s flawless 6-0-0 record.
